Wing foiling is becoming an absolute hit in the watersports scene and Somabay is one of the perfect places to spread your ‘wing wings’ and learn to fly. In this course, you will learn everything you need to start wing foiling safely and make your first progress. Learn how to set up and handle the equipment, get on the board and steer the wing correctly. Familiarise yourself with safety and priority rules as well as riding techniques and discover valuable tips & tricks to spread your wing wings and glide across the beautiful Red Sea.
Kitehouse Somabay also offers the hire of wing foil equipment. You need a licence to hire wing foil equipment.

With the right equipment, you can take off from as little as 8 knots of wind – light, effortless, almost magical. Once you’ve flown, there’s no turning back. From VDWS Level 5 or IKO Level 3N
To learn foil kiting, you need a VDWS licence level 5 or an IKO licence level 3N. You need to be able to run upwind safely and need perfect kite control even in light winds. You also need to know how to relaunch the kite in deep water and light winds. We offer the foil courses either as one-to-one coaching or as a semi-private lesson.
